Boa Vista, Cape Verde

A Paradise Island

Boa Vista, on the eastern edge of Cape Verde is roughly 450 miles off the coast of West Africa. It’s the driest of the Cape islands, giving sunshine all year round. Temperatures are typically between 24°C to 30°C whatever the season and between six to ten hours of sunshine most days. Flights from the UK only take around six hours, it’s even close enough for a long weekend.

The beaches are amazing

Boa Vista has some of the longest stretches of sand in the Atlantic, Santa Monica beach runs for 20 kilometres and is really underdeveloped. Chaves and Estoril are calmer and best suited to swimming and for families. The sea is warm and clear, plus between July and October loggerhead turtles nest on the shores, it’s actually one of the few places in the world where you can still see that. People who come for a first holiday tend to think about property before they leave.

Speak to us

A developing market

Cape Verde has been stable for decades, with a democratic government and a legal system that is straightforward for foreign buyers as it’s part of europe. Boa Vista tourist numbers have grown steadily since then and short-term holiday rentals are strong. The infrastructure, flight routes and structure are now well established.

Why an apartment here makes sense

Owning a property on Boa Vista just works. For a holiday base the island offers a tropical escape without a long journey. As an asset an apartment in an established development generates income when you’re not using it. We build specifically for this market, apartments designed how people want to use them, in a great location.
